Team event – PCG sets sail on the open water
A happy team is a productive team! Our Fun Committee is always on the lookout for exciting, engaging activities to bring our employees together. This summer we scheduled an outing with a “local legend” and PCGiT client, Portsmouth Harbor Cruises, for the entire staff and guests that was truly unforgettable.
Setting Sail on the M/V Heritage
Luckily the weather held out and we had lovely evening with only a couple minor sprinkles. The team gathered at the dock in anticipation of the adventure ahead. We boarded the M/V Heritage, a charming 1963 60′ Deltaville Deadrise that’s known for intimate, picturesque cruises through the Seacoast’s waterways. Soon we set sail, leaving the bustling port city behind and embracing the serene beauty of Portsmouth Harbor.
As we cruised the Piscataqua River, our knowledgeable captain Dimitri provided a ‘light’ narration at our request, sharing stories about our town’s rich seaport history, vibrant ecosystem, shipbuilding heritage, folklore, and diverse sea and bird life that reside in the inland waterways. These amusing, informative anecdotes made the journey even more enjoyable.
Team Bonding and Fun
The cruise was not just about sightseeing; it was also a fantastic opportunity for team bonding. Colleagues and guests mingled, shared laughs, and enjoyed music, refreshments, and the stunning views together. The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the breathtaking environment, with the billowy clouds and painted sky creating a perfect backdrop for a few candids.
A Resounding Success!
The Portsmouth Harbor Cruise was fun for all, provided a nice break from our daily grind and allowed us to connect with our colleagues in a relaxed and beautiful setting. The team’s feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing appreciation for such a unique, enjoyable experience.
PCG fosters a positive, inclusive work environment, and our team events play a crucial role in achieving that goal. We look forward to more such adventures in the future, as we continue to celebrate our amazing team and the wonderful community we are a part of.
