Be A Power User when Editing in Microsoft Office

As the world pace quickens, we look for more ways to streamline the work we do and using our computer is no exception. As there are many applications that have to have data entered, edited and so on the processes become more and more complex and require more steps.

Just typing a repetition of words in a list can be daunting on a large scale.

These are the standard set of hotkeys for Windows Applications.

As you can see they are geared to word processing and can make editing tasks quite a breeze.

I utilized cut and paste 14 times just writing this list. Now this may not be a complete list but it will sure get you started.

CTRL + Z = Undo

CTRL + X = Cut

CTRL + V = Paste

CTRL + B = Bold

CTRL + I = Italic

CTRL + U = Underline

CTRL + N = New

CTRL + A = Select All

CTRL + S = Save

CTRL + F = Find

CTRL + Y = Redo

CTRL + O = Open

CTRL + P = Print

ALT + F4 = Close Selected Window/Program/Invoke Shut down menu

ALT + Tab = Switch forward through open windows

ALT + Shift + Tab = Switch backward through open tabs

F1 = Open Help (if available) of Selected Application

F3 = Search Files

F5 = Refresh Selected Window / Browser
